• Brainwavz Hengja Review

I recently was on the prowl for a reliable, inexpensive headphone stand that I could use at work. I didn’t want anything fancy that would stand out, but I wanted it to be solid enough that I felt confident hanging my rather expensive cans on it.

    Enter the Brainwavz Hengja.

This all-metal headphone hanger is exactly what I was looking for. It can be adjusted (with a hex key) to attach to a vertical surface if desired. It fit right on my desk at work (horizontally) with no adjustment necessary.

The Hengja is sturdy and has enough room for a wide headband. I also coil up the wire of whatever headphone I’m not using and hang it on there with it.

I prefer the design of the Hengja to many other stands because it’s compact and puts no pressure on the earpads (like those fancy Omega stands do). The only qualm I might have with this is that the inside of the top is well-padded, but the top of the metal piece at the bottom of the clamp is not. You might want to grab something to put there to prevent any scratching of the surface you attach it to.

For the price (less than $20), the Brainwavz Hengja Hanger is an absolute no-brainer.
