Hi, I want to buy a over-ear close headphones. I have read many blogs and over the vmoda crossfade lp2 and the Sony mdr-XB950B1 i come across the taction kannons. Obviously I search for an extreme bass headphones for listening to trap/hip Hop like Russ bugus and croosh.
For the taction I think I need an amplifier.
My question is:
Is worth spend about 500$ for the taction or a professional headphones like jvc-sz2000 combined with an amp, or the extrabass series by Sony ( or equivalent big driver headphones) is already incredible powerful bass?
Wich headphones do you recommend?
Sorry for my English I’m italian.
Thanks in advance.
PS. I listening music on my smartphone( one plus 5)
Or on my PC ( Dell XPS 15).
The beauty of the Taction Kannons is that you can run them on anything and get incredible bass response. No need for an amp unless you want to get the best overall sound quality from them.
The JVC SZ2000 require a powerful amp and sound horrible without EQ. I haven’t liked any of the Sony XB series recently (I liked them back in the XB1000/XB700/XB500 era).
